XX Sports interview with Scott Hairston – I haven’t written about this yet but I was bummed when I first heard about it. Now that I’ve had time to think about it, I have to think that it’s definitely in the best interests of the organization but it’s really a bummer because he was a good Padre and now Adrian won’t see another pitch to hit until these other guys start hitting. I’ve been complaining about Blanks and Venable needing more playing time to see if they fit in the Padres’ future outfield or not so I guess now they’ll get a chance. As for the PTBNL, I’m with FriarForecast on this one, I’m guessing Towers’ number one guy is Sean Gallagher but if he’s not healthy by the end of the month then my money’s on Dana Eveland. It just so happens that Eveland was called back up to the big league club yesterday. He’s going to get the start on short rest tonight in Boston against Beckett.
