NASCAR To Feature Uniform Start Times For 2010 Season - There’s some good news coming out of NASCAR headquarters in Daytona; NASCAR will have earlier, uniform start times for races in the 2010 season. Eastern and Central region races will start at 1 PM EST, West Coast races will start at 3 PM EST and night races at 7:30 PM EST. The exception will be the Coca Cola 600 which will start at 5:45 PM EST on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Full Story on NASCAR.com

“The Padres have acquired catcher Yamid Haad from the Mariners organization and assigned him to Triple-A Portland. Haad has 18 games of major league experience, but managed to get suspended 50 games in 2006 for testing positive for a performance-enahancing substance while with the Giants.

Currently on San Diego’s major league roster is another catcher who has served a 50-game suspension while with the Giants. Eliezer Alfonzo tested positive in 2008. Both players were playing for Triple-A Fresno at the time.”
